【初二英语小故事短文】One sunny afternoon, Li Ming was walking home from school when he saw a small dog sitting by the roadside. The dog looked lost and sad. Li Ming stopped to check on it.
“Hello, little friend,” he said softly. “Are you lost?”
The dog just looked up at him with big, brown eyes. Li Ming decided to take the dog home with him. He called his mom and told her what happened.
His mom was happy to help. She gave the dog some water and food. Then they tried to find the owner. They put up posters around the neighborhood and asked people if they had seen the dog.
A few days later, a girl came to their house. She was very excited when she saw the dog.
“I’m so glad I found it!” she said. “My name is Lily, and this is my dog, Max.”
Li Ming smiled. “You’re welcome! It’s good that you found him.”
Lily thanked them and took Max home. From that day on, Li Ming felt proud of himself for helping someone in need.
This small act of kindness made him feel happy and reminded him that even small things can make a big difference.
